Terms of Service

Last updated: April 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bill Saved (“the Service”), operated by Planetterrian Ventures Inc., an Ontario corporation doing business as Bill Saved (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bill Saved is a bill analysis and call services platform. The Service analyzes uploaded bills to identify potential overcharges, billing errors, and savings opportunities. At the user's direction, Bill Saved may contact service providers to negotiate bill reductions on the user's behalf.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

4. Call Authorization

Bill Saved uses a contemporaneous per-call authorization model. Before each call where Bill Saved speaks on your behalf (Handled Call tier), you authenticate with the provider and speak a recorded authorization phrase on the call. There is no standing pre-authorization. See our product page for details.

By using the call services, you expressly authorize Bill Saved to: place calls on your behalf; record all calls as evidence; share your name and account reference with billers during calls. Authorization is not a condition of browsing or using non-call features of Bill Saved.

Revocation: You may withdraw your authorization for any pending call at any time from your account settings with immediate effect.

4a. Pre-Call Checks

Before any call is placed, compliance checks must pass: (1) your jurisdiction must be in our service area, (2) the call must be within legal calling hours, and (3) the biller's number must not be on our internal do-not-call list. If any check fails, the call is queued or blocked with a clear explanation.

4b. How We Represent You

Bill Saved identifies itself as your authorized representative when speaking on your behalf. All calls include a recording disclosure at the start. We do not impersonate you — we act as your representative under a valid authorization, the same legal mechanism used by accountants, lawyers, and other professional representatives.

4c. Regulatory Compliance

Calls placed by Bill Saved comply with applicable telecommunications and consumer-protection laws, including the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and FCC rules, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) to the extent it applies to our messages. Calling hours, internal do-not-call lists, and recording-consent disclosures are enforced automatically.

4d. Handled Call Availability

Handled Call (Tier 3) is available in all 50 US states and in Canada outside the province of Quebec. Users whose jurisdiction is Quebec can use Call Assist and Coached Call today; Handled Call service in Quebec is rolling out and will be enabled for your account automatically when it launches. If you are a Pro subscriber in Quebec, your plan continues to deliver unlimited Call Assist and Coached Call and the applicable recovery-share discount; Handled Call billing is not incurred for attempts that our scheduler blocks.

5. Fee Structure

Bill Saved charges a per-call fee and a performance-based recovery share. Fees vary by service tier (Call Assist, Coached Call, or Handled Call). The recovery share is calculated based on the savings amount confirmed by you through the verification process.

How billing works: When you initiate a call, a temporary hold is placed on your payment method for the estimated fee amount. The hold is only captured after you verify that the provider honored its commitment (e.g., by uploading a revised bill or confirmation). If the call is unsuccessful or the provider does not follow through, the hold is released and you are not charged the recovery share.

No-win reduced fee: Per-call fees are reduced by 50% when a call completes without a qualifying recovery. If Bill Saved does not save you money, the recovery share is $0. See our pricing page for full details on per-call fees and subscription tier discounts.

Refunds and releases: Pre-authorization holds for per-call fees are released within five (5) business days of a call being cancelled, failing to connect, or completing without a qualifying recovery that triggers the no-win reduction. For binary-outcome situations (e.g., cancellations, debt validation, parking appeals), any captured per-call fee is refunded within ten (10) business days if the binary outcome is not achieved. Recovery-share charges are captured only after you confirm the outcome, and are refundable if the provider later reverses the credit or adjustment.

6. Verification Process

After Bill Saved obtains a verbal commitment from a service provider, you are responsible for verifying the savings by uploading confirmation documentation (such as a revised bill, email confirmation, or account credit notification). We reserve the right to independently verify savings before capturing fees.

7. Bill Uploads and Data

You retain ownership of all bills and documents you upload. By uploading a bill, you grant us a limited license to process, analyze, and store the document for the purpose of providing the Service. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. No Guarantee of Results

While we strive to identify savings opportunities and negotiate the best possible outcomes, we cannot guarantee that every call will result in savings. Service providers make their own decisions about credits and rate adjustments. Bill Saved's analysis and negotiation is based on our best understanding of billing practices and market rates but is not a guarantee of results.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service for any illegal purpose; upload bills belonging to someone else without their permission; provide false identity or account information; attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service; reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our systems; use the Service to engage in any form of fraud or misrepresentation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bill Saved shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Bill Saved in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant that Bill Saved's analysis will be 100% accurate or that all overcharges will be identified.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@billsaved.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users.

Termination does not affect any fees already captured for verified savings or any obligations that by their nature should survive termination.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

15. Contact

For questions about these Terms of Service, contact us at legal@billsaved.com.

16. Referral Program

If you participate in the Bill Saved Referral Program, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these Terms of Service.

16.1 Eligibility

You must be (a) at least 18 years of age, (b) the verified holder of an active Bill Saved account in good standing, and (c) not a current employee, contractor, or immediate family member of a Bill Saved employee. Bill Saved employees may not participate as referrers.

16.2 How to Earn

You earn rewards by sharing your unique referral link. When a person who has not previously held a Bill Saved account (a “New User”) signs up using your link and reaches at least US$100.00 in cumulative verified savings on their account, you earn:

(a) a one-time US$10.00 signup bonus; and
(b) 1% of every dollar of verified savings the New User accumulates during the 60 calendar days immediately following the date their cumulative verified savings first reached US$100 (the “Revenue Share Window”).

“Verified savings” means the gross savings amount confirmed by Bill Saved through its standard verification process and on which Bill Saved has successfully captured its service fee. Disputed, refunded, or charged-back transactions do not count toward verified savings.

16.3 Annual Cap

Total referral earnings (signup bonuses plus revenue share, combined) are capped at US$599.00 per referrer per calendar year. Earnings above the cap are forfeited and do not roll over. The cap resets January 1 each year. Bill Saved sets this cap to keep the program simple and below applicable US tax-reporting thresholds, and may raise or remove the cap at any time at its sole discretion.

16.4 Nature of Rewards

Referral rewards are credits earned for referring new users. They are not a payment for services, a security, or compensation paid to a New User for signing up. Rewards have no cash value until you elect to withdraw earned credits via Bill Saved's payout process (when available). Rewards are not transferable.

16.5 Restricted Activities

You may not:

(a) refer yourself or any account that you control;
(b) create or use multiple Bill Saved accounts in order to refer yourself;
(c) refer New Users from the same household, device, IP address, or payment instrument as your own account;
(d) bid on Bill Saved trademarks (including “Bill Saved”, “billsaved”, or any variant) in paid search advertising;
(e) post your referral link to spam, comment-bombing, fake-review, or coupon-aggregator sites without Bill Saved's prior written approval;
(f) impersonate Bill Saved or imply that Bill Saved endorses you;
(g) make any false, misleading, or deceptive claim about Bill Saved or the Referral Program; or
(h) engage in any activity that violates applicable law, Bill Saved's Acceptable Use policy (Section 9), or these Terms.

Violation of any of the above will result in (i) immediate forfeiture of all unpaid referral earnings, (ii) clawback of any referral earnings paid out within the prior 90 days, and (iii) at Bill Saved's sole discretion, suspension or termination of your Bill Saved account.

16.6 Clawback for Refunds and Chargebacks

If a New User's verified savings are subsequently refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed, the corresponding portion of your referral reward will be reversed and deducted from your unpaid balance. If your unpaid balance is insufficient, the deficit may be deducted from future referral earnings or, in cases of fraud, recovered through other lawful means.

16.7 Fraud Review

Bill Saved may, at its sole discretion, place any referral on hold pending review if it suspects fraud, abuse, collusion, or violation of these terms. Reviews typically resolve within 14 days. Bill Saved may withhold payment, reverse already-paid rewards, and/or terminate your participation in the Referral Program based on the outcome of a review.

16.8 Taxes

You are solely responsible for any taxes owed on referral earnings. While the US$599 annual cap is designed to keep individual earnings below the US IRS 1099-MISC reporting threshold, you should consult a tax professional for advice specific to your situation. If the cap is raised in the future and you exceed US$600 in earnings in a calendar year, Bill Saved may require you to provide a completed IRS Form W-9 (or equivalent) before paying out further earnings.

16.9 Changes and Termination

Bill Saved may modify, suspend, or terminate the Referral Program at any time, with or without notice. Changes apply prospectively from the effective date. Earnings already vested under prior terms are not affected by prospective changes. Bill Saved may also cancel an individual's participation at any time for any reason or no reason.

16.10 Binding Effect

By participating in the Referral Program, you agree to this Section 16 in addition to the rest of these Terms of Service, including the limitation of liability in Section 10 and the governing-law provisions in Section 14.
