How Calls Work
Bill Saved handles the full call lifecycle. Here's what happens at each step.
Submit Your Situation
Upload a bill or describe what you need. Our analysis flags charges worth challenging and recommends a tier based on the complexity of the call.
Pre-Call Brief
Before the call, we prepare a brief for you: what to expect, key talking points, the provider's known policies, and any leverage (like current competitor pricing or promotional offers). This brief appears on your screen when you join the call.
We Dial and Hold
Bill Saved dials the provider, navigates the phone tree (pressing the right buttons to reach a live person), and waits on hold. You go about your day.
You Get a Notification
When a live person answers, you receive a push notification and/or SMS. Tap to join the call immediately.
The Conversation
What happens next depends on your tier: - Call Assist — You see the brief on screen and handle the conversation yourself. - Coached Call — You talk while real-time coaching appears on your screen: suggested responses, warnings about what the rep is saying, and an outcome tracker. - Handled Call — You authenticate with the provider by speaking a short phrase, then Bill Saved speaks on your behalf as your representative. You listen and can take over at any moment.
Outcome Confirmation
After the call, you confirm the result: credit amount, rate change, refund, cancellation, or other resolution. Fees are calculated based on the confirmed outcome.
If It Doesn't Work
If the call doesn't produce the result you wanted, the per-call fee is cut in half and the recovery share is $0. For binary-outcome situations (like cancellations), you get a full per-call-fee refund if the outcome isn't achieved.
